Funding for Scottish Organisations Supporting Vulnerable People During Coronavirus Pandemic
Funding for Scottish Organisations Supporting Vulnerable People During Coronavirus Pandemic
The funding will be awarded in different phases. During the short-term Response phase, which is currently open for applications, emergency funding is provided for organisations who are currently supporting some of Scotland’s most affected and vulnerable people.
Examples of projects that are eligible for funding include:
Support for the ongoing needs of vulnerable people to ensure their health and wellbeing is maintained.
Support for foodbanks and organisations working to combat hardship caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, including child hunger.
Community response coordination.
Enabling organisations to work remotely and adapt their services delivered in the wider community.
Providing emotional support, mental health and bereavement support.
Providing mobile phone for vulnerable young people so they can stay in touch.
Supermarket vouchers for foodbanks to hand out in place of goods as their stock becomes limited.
Providing additional cash to allow a community-run shop to purchase extra stock so they can remain open or add a delivery service.
Later on, during the Recovery and Resilience phases, funding will be available for organisations whose operations and finances have been affected by the pandemic, so they can recover, re-establish or re-design their activities in response to community needs.
Applications for the Response phase of the Fund are open and are assessed on a rolling basis.
