COVID-19 Recovery Funding for Wales Voluntary Organisations Still Available
The third phase of the Third Sector Resilience Fund continues to accept applications.
A national funding programme to help voluntary organisations in Wales with the costs of surviving the COVID-19 pandemic remains open for applications.
The Third Sector Resilience Fund (TSRF) is a Wales-wide support fund for those affected by coronavirus and specifically tailored for the voluntary sector. The current, third phase of the fund has two application strands:
Survive
Acknowledging that for some the impact of COVID-19 was late to take effect or become fully apparent, this strand is designed to combat any unprecedented fall in the organisation’s fundraising and donation income.
Thrive
This strand will support organisations to invest in new or additional activities that will diversify income streams, generating a return beyond the period of funding. Eligible activities could include:
- Expansion of services into a new geographical area.
- New income generative activities.
- Formation of a trading subsidiary to expand delivery.
The third phase of the fund is prioritising organisations that support people with protected characteristics, and those that have not previously received TSRF funding.
Applications will be accepted from incorporated voluntary organisations based in and operating for the benefit of people in Wales. Unincorporated groups may apply, but incorporation must be an immediate part of their plans.
Grants of between £10,000 and £50,000 are available. If the activity requires funding beyond this, there is the opportunity to apply for a loan from the Social Investment Cymru team at WCVA if required.
Applications may be made at any time while funding remains available.
