Launch of National Forest Sustainable Tourism Grants Scheme
Grants are available to organisations working in the tourism and hospitality sector for new and innovative projects that will boost sustainable tourism in the National Forest.
The Sustainable Tourism Grants scheme has been launched by The National Forest Company with the aim of supporting organisations with new projects that can help to develop the National Forest as a landmark sustainable tourism destination.
Grants of between £1,000 and £5,000 are available to support projects that:
- Improve and promote access for all visitors to surrounding woodlands and habitats.
- Strengthen visitor connections with the Forest.
- Protect and enhance nature to improve the visitor experience.
- Raise visitor awareness of the National Forest story and future vision.
Applications are accepted from small businesses, local charities, social enterprises and community interest companies. Organisations do not need to be based in the Forest, but projects are expected to take place within the National Forest boundary.
Applications must be submitted by the deadline of 31 May 2022 (17:00 BST).
