£250,000 Fund for Black-owned Restaurant Businesses
Enterprise Nation and Uber are delivering financial support to boost the success of Black-owned restaurants.
The Black Business Fund aims to help Black-owned businesses in the restaurant industry that are experiencing financial pressures. Evidence shows that Black-owned businesses face disproportionate challenges in accessing the finance they need.
The Fund is targeting food and drink firms because of the unique challenges they are currently experiencing.
To be eligible for the competition, a food business:
- Must be Black-owned.
- Must have been trading for at least 18 months.
- Should have fewer than five locations.
A total funding pot of £250,000 will be distributed to Black-owned restaurants that need additional financial support. Twenty five restaurants will each receive £10,000, as well as access to mentoring from Enterprise Nation, to help boost their businesses.
The money can be spent on professional services and/or equipment that will help a business grow.
Applications close on 15 November 2023.
