Business Support Initiative for Wales’ Young Entrepreneurs Invites Applications
Funding is available to support young entrepreneurs aged between 18-30 in Wales to start up or grow a new business.
SWEF are working in partnership with Community Foundation Wales to provide business grants of up to £2,000 to young entrepreneurs who are running their own business which has been trading for no more than two years, or those planning to start their own business imminently.
As part of the programme, SWEF provides the opportunity to join a network of peers who are also in the early stage of starting their business to share ideas, experiences and learn.
Priority will be given to applications from groups that are often underrepresented in business, including people on low incomes, women, migrants, ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, and people with few or no formal qualifications.
Grants can be used for the following costs and activities:
- Equipment that will help achieve increased revenues.
- Equipment that will help a business increase production where there is a proven demand.
- Materials/stock for a new product line.
- Prototypes (not app development costs).
- Website/booking system build.
- Training.
- Product development.
Grants must be fully spent within one month of receipt of an offer letter.
