Davidson Prize – Transformative Architecture of the Home

An annual design ideas competition for architectural ideas that imaginatively rethink the design of the contemporary home in the UK.
The Davidson Prize is a design ideas competition that encourages multidisciplinary teams to develop and communicate innovative architectural ideas about the future of the home, celebrating transformative design thinking, collaboration and compelling visual communication to address contemporary housing and living challenges.
The theme of the prize for 2026 is: Changing the Game: Building Play into Housing.
The Prize is seeking applications that:
- create designs that enable play within the domestic space, inside the home and its transitional spaces,
- enable play in the public realm, outside the home and across communal spaces and places, or
- explore blended solutions that bridge inside and outside environments.
