Ayrshire Small-Scale Tree-Planting Programme

Grants to encourage native tree-planting projects in North and South Ayrshire to benefit the countryside, wildlife and local communities.
The aim of the programme is to encourage planting of individual or small groups of native trees, as planted coniferous forests make up 84% of all Ayrshire woodland. Additionally, there is tree loss from old age and disease affecting current woodland. The outcomes of the scheme are adding landscape and biodiversity value to the South and East Ayrshire countryside for the benefit of people, communities and wildlife.
