Business Innovation Grant Offers Up to £20,000 for Northern Ireland SMEs

Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in Northern Ireland can now apply for the Business Innovation Grant (BIG), which provides financial support to drive innovation and boost competitiveness. The grant, offered by Invest Northern Ireland in partnership with Innovate NI, ranges from £5,000 to £20,000, covering up to 70% of eligible project costs.

Businesses can use the funding for activities such as market research, product development, process validation, and expanding into new markets outside Northern Ireland. Alongside financial support, successful applicants will join the Innovate NI programme, gaining access to expert advice and receiving an Innovation Recognition Certificate.

Applications are open to Northern Ireland-based SMEs from various sectors, excluding agriculture, forestry and fisheries.
