Clyde Mission Heat Decarbonisation Fund

Closing Date: –

Grants are available for public bodies, limited companies and Community Interest Companies carrying out projects to accelerate the transition from fossil fuel heating to low carbon alternative heating systems in the Clyde Mission Corridor.

In August 2023, the Scottish Government transferred lead responsibility for the Clyde Mission programme to Glasgow City Region and Argyll and Bute Council.

Part of this programme, the £25 million Clyde Mission Heat Decarbonisation Fund (CM-HDF) offers grants towards capital expenses to public and private organisations to develop heat decarbonisation projects.

The fund will provide targeted investment within the Clyde Mission Corridor to accelerate heat decarbonisation, supporting the transition from fossil-fuel heating to low-carbon alternatives, and contributing to Regional and national carbon reduction targets.

The aims are to:

  • Stimulate capital funding for high impact heat decarbonisation projects in the Clyde corridor.
  • Provide necessary funding to support heat decarbonisation projects.
  • Offer targeted funding to bridge funding gaps and enhance the viability of eligible projects.
