Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Enterprises Invited to Apply for UKSPF Sectoral Investment
A UK Shared Prosperity Fund initiative is accepting applications to foster growth and innovation in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Managed by the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Good Growth SPF Investment Programme, the grants aim to accelerate the region’s economic potential by supporting key enterprise sectors, advancing the transition to net zero, and generating high-quality, well-paid jobs.
Sectors eligible for investment include:
- Critical Minerals – harnessing sustainable extraction and processing in Cornwall.
- Renewable Energy – innovations in floating offshore wind, deep geothermal, and biomethane capture.
- Data, Space and Aerospace – exploiting physical, digital and intellectual assets to address local and global challenges.
- Marine – including emerging FLOW opportunities and decarbonising shipping and associated activity.
The programme also supports improvements in job quality, earnings and business performance in core industries such as agrifood, the visitor economy, and creative sectors with a digital and tech focus.
The minimum grant award is £200,000. Projects must align with local and national strategies, including the Cornwall Good Growth Plan 2024-35, Labour’s Five Missions for Britain, and national decarbonisation goals.
