COVID-19 Relief Funding for Visual Artists in England & Northern Ireland

COVID-19 Relief Funding for Visual Artists in England & Northern Ireland

The Freelands Foundation Emergency Fund has been set up to help artists and freelance creative practitioners in the visual arts sector, living in England and Northern Ireland, who are in urgent need of financial support because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.

This is short‑term emergency funding to enable applicants to survive financially. The scheme will help individuals to meet their most urgent financial needs while they explore other ways of sustaining themselves.

The £1.5 million fund provides grants of £1,500 to £2,500 per person, assessed by need, with £1 million going to those living in England and £500,000 to those in Northern Ireland.

The funder encourages applications from artists and arts professionals working in all visual arts disciplines. Those on multiple short-term PAYE contracts are also eligible.

The deadline for applications is Thursday 18 June 2020 (14:00 BST).
