COVID-19 Charities Fund for Northern Ireland
COVID-19 Charities Fund for Northern Ireland
The Northern Ireland Department for Communities has launched this new one-off £15.5 million fund to provide short-term support for charities that have lost income due to the impact of COVID-19 and are unable to cover unavoidable costs until 30 September 2020.
One-off grants of up to £75,000 are available. The level of funding awarded will be based on a proportionate assessment of a charity’s short-term financial need.
The grants are to be used to cover a shortfall of unavoidable costs from 1 April to 30 September 2020.
In the first instance, charities will be prioritised based on the extent and urgency of their financial need. If demand is high, priority will then be given to those charities that communities rely on the most to deliver essential services.
The deadline for applications is 4pm on 10 July 2020.
