Curriculum for Wales Grant Support Programme Announced
The Welsh Government has launched a new grant programme to support education providers in implementing the Curriculum for Wales. The scheme is aimed at enhancing teaching and learning for children aged 3 to 16 across Wales, including in schools, pupil referral units (PRUs), and funded non-maintained nursery settings.
Funding will be available from April 2025 for up to three financial years. Eligible applicants include education stakeholder organisations with a demonstrated ability to support schools and settings, as well as organisations from the public, third, private, and academic sectors.
Grants can be used to provide expertise, training, resources, and events that align with the principles of the Curriculum for Wales. Proposals should focus on specific priorities, including curriculum design, literacy, mathematics and numeracy, and science and technology.
Applications must demonstrate how they will help schools and nurseries deliver on these priorities to ensure all learners can make progress.
