Exchange Market

Closing Date: –

A pilot funding scheme rewarding arable farmers in the UK for reducing emissions within their supply chains through tailored, verified plans.

Exchange Market is a funding scheme supporting farmers to reduce emissions while retaining control over how reductions are achieved. Farmers are paid per tonne of CO2e reduced, with additional rewards for those already below the industry emissions average.

As an insetting fund, Exchange Market focuses on reducing emissions within supply chains rather than selling carbon credits. Participation requires a completed Exchange baseline and a recent Farm Carbon Toolkit assessment.

The Soil Association Exchange collaborates with farmers to create verified emissions reduction plans, with annual payments based on transparent and verified outcomes.

Farmers can join Exchange Market by having a completed Exchange baseline and a recent Farm Carbon Toolkit assessment. The Soil Association Exchange will then work with applicants to create a verified emissions reduction plan. With annual payments based on verified results, the programme ensures transparency and accountability at every step.
