Foot Locker Launches Grant Initiative to Empower Young Artists
Grants are being offered to Gen Z creatives from across Europe and the UK who are working with sneakers and/or youth culture.
Foot Locker Europe has announced a new funding initiative to support young creative people working across a variety of industries.
The Young Creators Grant aims to help young people kickstart careers and ventures with an investment which they can spend however they choose – be that on paying studio rent or buying supplies.
From a funding pot of €15,000, a total of 30 successful entrants will be awarded a grant of €500 each.
Young creative people who are 16 to 29 years of age, working with or around sneakers and/or youth culture, may apply. This includes, but is not limited to, illustrating sneakers, upcycling sneakers, performance art/dance related to sneakers and/or youth culture.
Entrants must be based in Europe or the United Kingdom.
Applications must be submitted by 28 August 2021.
