Fund Opens to Drive Innovation in Vocational Education Assessments

The £1 million Assessment Innovation Fund focuses on assessment within vocational education, helping UK adults develop the skills they need to gain and maintain employment.

Window 6 of the Fund is designed to encourage the development of learner-centric and adaptable assessment solutions; harnessing digital technology to create a more inclusive, robust, fairer, and reliable assessment experience.

Two organisations will be awarded up to £150,000 each for large-scale impact projects lasting between 18 and 24 months.

Applications are encouraged from UK based training providers, awarding organisations, EdTech businesses, colleges and other organisations interested in changing the future of assessment.

The scheme will fund anything that is connected to the project, including people’s time, equipment and technology development. Budgets set out in applications are expected to cover the minimum requirements to deliver the project.
