Get it Made Launches 2023 Women in Engineering Grant
Manufacturing specialist, Get It Made, has launched a grant scheme to support the potential of women in innovation and to boost the growth of female employment within UK industry.
A grant scheme is now open to female-led enterprises operating in the UK engineering sector to help scale up production and progress to the next level of development.
Applications are being accepted for the 2023 Women in Engineering Grant provided by London based manufacturing services company, Get It Made.
First launched last year, the initiative attracted hundreds of applicants from all over the UK and will once again champion female entrepreneurship in traditionally male-dominated sectors.
To be eligible for the grant the business must:
- Be a female founded or led engineering organisation.
- Employ fewer than 10 people.
- Have an element of being a hardware based business.
- Have a clear goal or mission for the product or company.
The manufacturing grant consists of £5,000 that can be used when ordering any of Get it Made’s manufacturing services. In addition, grantees will have direct access to Get It Made engineers who will help support their project from a Design for Manufacturing perspective.
Applications close at midnight on 31 July 2023.
