Grants for Small Businesses Driving Fintech Innovation in Scotland
Micro and small businesses operating in Scotland are invited to apply for funding under the latest call from the Financial Regulation Innovation Lab (FRIL). The call is part of a wider collaborative programme aimed at advancing technology to support evolving regulatory frameworks in the UK and internationally.
Grants of up to £50,000 are available to support the development of new products, processes or services that significantly advance current offerings, or innovative uses of existing ones. Funding may also support novel business models. Proposals must demonstrate potential to contribute to fintech and financial services innovation in Scotland, with an emphasis on Glasgow.
To be eligible, applicants must be registered as a micro or small business. While FinTech Scotland accepts applications from companies at any development stage, only those meeting the eligibility criteria can receive grant funding.
Applicants are encouraged to align their solutions with challenge statements provided by industry partners. These include supply chain monitoring, scenario planning, data quality, cross-border compliance analysis, business resilience and cloud risk management. Multiple applications can be submitted in response to different challenge areas.
