New Fund Offers Grants to Improve On-the-Go Recycling Points in Great Britain
A new grant programme designed to support delivery of ambitious, large-scale projects that will transform recycling in public spaces is inviting applications.
Funding is available to support four new projects in Great Britain to introduce or improve public recycling points in areas of coverage that include waterways, such as coastline, riverways, canals, docks or wetlands.
The new #InTheLoop Grant Fund provided by Hubbub UK will award a grant of £25,000 to each of four successful applicants. The funding is intended to enable the introduction, or improvement or expansion, of recycling in public spaces using the #InTheLoop toolkit, with a particular focus on the recycling of plastic bottles and cans.
It is anticipated that the majority of applications will be from local authorities, business improvement districts, shopping centres, major property owners and transport hubs; and it is expected that most of the funding (80%) will go towards to the purchase of infrastructure on new recycling bins or improvements to old bins.
Projects will also receive ongoing support from Hubbub UK based on expertise and experience in delivering recycling campaigns, with supported projects starting from Spring 2023.
The deadline for applications is 15 December 2022.
