Rapid Evidence Reviews for the UKRI Research Programme on Gambling

Closing Date: 02/09/2025

Funding is available for UK-based researchers, practitioners, and businesses to conduct rapid evidence reviews that support research and policy development on gambling-related harms.

UKRI is inviting applications to conduct Rapid Evidence Reviews (RER) to support its Research Programme on Gambling. Funded through the research strand of the new statutory levy on gambling operators, the programme aims to strengthen the evidence base on gambling-related harms.

The RERs will be used to identify evidence gaps within the research and innovation ecosystem. Findings from the reviews will support research prioritisation and inform policy development. UKRI is particularly interested in areas where the existing evidence base is limited and in expanding the disciplinary scope of gambling research to include interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches.
