The competition provides funding for UK materials and manufacturing organisations to develop projects focused on resource efficiency, sustainability or seaweed processing innovation.
The Resource Efficiency for Resilience and Sustainability Feasibility Studies Competition supports UK materials and manufacturing organisations to develop projects that contribute to net zero and resource efficiency. Proposals may also demonstrate how sectors can become more resilient, sustainable or technologically advanced.
Projects must focus on at least one of the following areas:
- Resource-efficient and sustainable materials and manufacturing.
- Innovation in seaweed processing to achieve significant improvements in yield, efficiency or value per tonne of seaweed processed, using material harvested or cultivated in the UK and its territorial waters.
The competition encourages initiatives that align with the strategic aims of creating net zero, resource-efficient, resilient, responsive, and technologically advanced manufacturing in the UK.
