Scottish Businesses Invited to Apply for Offshore Wind Feasibility Funding
Scottish businesses are invited to apply for funding to conduct feasibility studies aimed at developing innovative solutions for the offshore wind sector. Grants of between £30,000 and £50,000 are available, covering up to 100% of project costs related to design, technical or commercial assessments.
This initiative targets key challenges in offshore wind, aiming to advance project implementation while supporting Scotland’s zero-emissions goals. Projects must include subsequent prototype development and testing within Scotland, with a focus on creating commercially viable solutions that contribute to the green economy and job creation.
Eligible applicants include individual businesses of all sizes registered or trading in Scotland, or those planning to establish operations there by January 2025. Collaborative applications are not permitted.
Feasibility projects should explore specific innovation areas such as installation, maintenance, electrical systems, mooring, and substructure design, among others. Supported feasibility projects must be completed by 30 June 2025.
