Waitrose Offers £500,000 to Support Low-Carbon Farming Practices

Funding is available to British farmers and producers supplying Waitrose to support the transition to net zero emissions. The Net Zero Farm Fund, part of the retailer’s Farming for Nature programme, aims to help suppliers adopt low-carbon farming practices and enhance resilience to climate change.

A total of £500,000 is available to support projects that reduce carbon emissions linked to food production. The programme will fund initiatives that lower the environmental impact of products supplied to Waitrose while strengthening resilience to climate-related challenges.

Both small and large-scale projects can receive funding. Eligible initiatives include rainwater capture tanks, sustainable fertilisers, low-carbon heating systems and soil-friendly machinery.
