Welsh Government’s £17m Fund for Farmers to Address On-farm Pollution

The Nutrient Management Investment scheme is intended to support farmers in Wales to improve the economic and environmental performance of their farm businesses.

The scheme targets investments which upgrade on-farm nutrient management, protect and enhance water, soil and air quality, improve on-farm resource efficiencies, technical performance, and the use of technology to improve management decisions.

From an overall budget of £17 million, individual grants of between £12,000 and £50,000 are available. The funds can be used towards infrastructure and capital investments in equipment and machinery that will address the impacts of on-farm pollution.

To be eligible, applicants must be primary producers of agricultural products. They must have three hectares of eligible agricultural land registered with RPW Wales, or be able to demonstrate over 550 labour hours.
