£2.4 Million Youth Music Racial Equity Fund Supports Organisations in England

Four-year funding awards available

Youth Music is inviting applications to its Recharge Fund: Racial Equity, providing long-term core support for creative organisations led by communities experiencing racial injustice.

The initiative is intended to address structural inequalities and historic underinvestment affecting Black and Global Majority creatives and organisations. It will support organisational development, resilience and wellbeing rather than being limited to individual project delivery.

Youth Music expects to distribute £2.4 million across England. Organisations can request up to £120,000 over four years. The funding may be used to strengthen core operations and develop safeguarding, governance, compliance and other organisational practices where required.

Eligible applicants must be led by and for communities experiencing racial injustice and must work creatively with children and young people in England. They must be based in England and legally constituted. Applicants must also have delivered activity for at least one year by December 2026. Their organisational turnover must not exceed £500,000 in their most recent financial year.
