£40,000 Award for New Moving Image Work in London
Experienced visual artist sought
Film London and Arts Council England have opened applications for FLAMIN Productions, which will provide production support for a new moving image artwork. The award is part of the Film London Artists’ Moving Image Network (FLAMIN).
The initiative is intended for visual artists who use film as their medium and have been working professionally in the art world for more than five years since graduating or completing an equivalent qualification. It supports projects that are at concept or development stage.
One selected artist will receive £40,000 in production funding for a new moving image work. This amount includes the artist’s fees. The recipient will also receive advice and guidance from the FLAMIN team and other Film London staff during development and production.
Applicants must have their main address in England. They must be able to demonstrate a track record of producing moving image work that has been exhibited or distributed and reached significant audiences. The project should represent a new artwork rather than a completed production.
The award can be used to make a moving image artwork, including costs associated with the artist’s work and its production. The completed film must be delivered by September 2028.
