£7 Million Home Energy Technology Supply Chain Fund for South West Wales Opens
Grants support businesses developing supply chains for domestic renewable energy technologies across the region
Businesses in South West Wales can apply for grants of between £100,000 and £1 million to develop supply chains for domestic renewable energy technologies.
The support is delivered through the Homes as Power Stations (HAPS) project, part of the Swansea Bay City Deal. The funding is intended to increase regional capacity to manufacture, install and maintain technologies that make homes more energy efficient. It also aims to support efforts to address fuel poverty, strengthen local manufacturing and establish South West Wales as a centre of expertise for renewable technologies.
Applications are open to businesses seeking to grow, diversify or invest in domestic renewable energy technologies in the region. Eligible applicants may include start-ups investing in renewable technologies, small businesses expanding their capacity and larger companies diversifying their product ranges.
Eligible expenditure can cover the manufacture of renewable technologies and component parts. Support may also be used for the sourcing, installation, operation, management and maintenance of HAPS-related environmental technologies and equipment, where these activities contribute to supply chain development.
