Camden Prize to Support Innovation in Food Waste Reduction
The Camden Challenge Prize is inviting applications for new ideas to reduce and manage food waste in the hospitality and food service sector. The initiative is focused on three areas: reducing food surplus, influencing workplace culture and practices, and managing inedible food waste.
The winner will receive £75,000, with £25,000 awarded to the runner-up. In addition, four finalists selected for the prototyping stage will each receive £5,000. Funding is intended to help applicants develop and scale their proposals, whether these are at the conceptual stage or ready for practical application.
Applications are open to individuals, groups, startups and organisations from across the UK. Eligible applicants include students, professionals, businesses and non-profits. Proposals must be designed for testing and use within the London Borough of Camden.
