Sport Wales Energy Saving Grants to Reopen
Funding to help sports clubs in Wales invest in energy‑efficient facilities
For a fourth year, Sport Wales will help sports clubs save money by becoming more energy efficient.
Not-for-profit sports clubs and community groups in Wales can apply for grants of up to £25,000.
Clubs must own their facility or have a minimum of a 7-year lease on the building.
Examples of eligible projects include:
- New windows and doors, reducing heating needs
- More energy-efficient and eco-friendly heating systems
- Better insulation
- Solar panels and storage batteries
- LED lights and movement sensors
- Sustainable water harvesting systems
Successful applicants must contribute a minimum of 20% of the project total costs.
Funding is for projects that are able to start by 31 March 2027.
