Crown Estate Opens Third Round of Offshore Wind Supply Chain Accelerator
£15m for early-stage development of UK offshore wind supply chain projects and related port infrastructure
The Crown Estate has launched a third competitive round of its Supply Chain Accelerator, making a further £15 million available to support UK offshore wind supply chain projects and related port infrastructure.
This £50 million fund supports the development of capacity and capability within the UK offshore wind supply chain by providing early-stage development support to help projects progress towards being investment-ready.
The fund is delivered through competitive rounds. Applications for the latest round are open to public, private and charitable organisations with a UK presence that are registered in the UK. Consortiums and special purpose vehicles may apply, but must identify a lead applicant.
Eligible projects include new or expanded manufacturing facilities for fixed, floating or deep-water offshore wind components, ports and wet storage infrastructure supporting construction, assembly, operations and maintenance and supply chain support, vessel fabrication and maintenance facilities and testing and demonstration capability for offshore wind components.
Support may also cover portside logistics equipment and manufacturing equipment where this is linked to developing or expanding a physical facility, as well as repurposing, upgrading or expanding existing facilities where there is a clear UK use case.
