Funding to Support People Living with Dementia Across Scotland
Age Scotland is offering grants of between £5,000 and £20,000 for community groups and organisations across Scotland to deliver community-led, grassroots support for people living with dementia and unpaid carers through its Encouraging and Supporting Grassroots Activity Fund. The funding is provided by the Scottish Government.
Through the Fund, a total of £310,000 is available for projects that:
- Enable people with lived experience to take part in ordinary activities and stay connected to their community.
- Strengthen inclusivity and meaningful participation from people with lived experience.
- Have an intergenerational impact, such as working with young carers or including young people in the community.
- Create opportunities for peer support or respite for unpaid carers and family members of people living with dementia.
Activity should start by 1 April 2026 and run for 12 months.
Funding can be used for core running costs and project costs.
Age Scotland will be hosting two online information sessions:
- 6 August 2025 (10:30 – 11:30).
- 12 August 2025 (10:30 – 11:30).
Applicants should contact Age Scotland via email to register their interest in attending the sessions.
